I'll try to behave myself, though. I've at least noted killing doesn't seem to get people a lot of places here. Just put in the box and told to sit and be good.

Why do you see it as a priority? A result of faulty programming? Viral infection?

Because they wanted to get rid of me first. Self-preservation. You might call that faulty programming, I certainly thought the same thing wrong when I came by it in biological life and had done nothing at that point to deserve the sentiment.

Then why not simply hide whatever it is they wish to target you for? Or are you operating on a strategy of pre-emption, assuming hostility where none has been proven?

In the beginning they only targeted me because they were afraid of me, not because I actually did anything.

That was enough to sell me on pre-emptive protection. Or postmortem vengeance.

A causality loop, then... Not without remedy.

When I'm convinced I'm safe [and that someone cares about his fate] I'll reconsider my positions. Though until then, I do at least recognize that violence is going to be a wasted effort here.

And what parameters are you using to define 'safety'? Immediate or something more long-term and... Strategic?
