[Lore is in his old office, though he can't break anything open to get to the parts inside. Believe him, he tried. But he has some nice new scientist's clothes, which at the moment consists of a white button up coat and gloves that he doesn't need right but he's wearing anyway because, eh, why not?]

No. They weren't groundless. I killed them all when I found out that I was going to be disassembled. I called something to the planet that would destroy all life after I was gone.

So I would say that presumption was correct.

You were disassembled, but weren't incinerated or used as scrap metal. Unless your father likes to store his old toys, it's not unlikely that he intended to restore you at some point in the future.

Additionally, if you had enough free will to murder an entire colony, I don't see why you couldn't have imprisoned your father and forced him to fix your faulty wiring.
